Lisa Ryan is a journalist from Canada, but also South Carolina, and now she lives in Brooklyn. She is a staff writer at New York Magazine’s The Cut, and has also written for Jezebel, Business Insider, Refinery29, Law360, and more. Her work mostly focuses on health and women’s rights, but lately also Céline Dion and the sage wisdom of celebrity Instagram accounts. Lisa has a Certificate in Global Affairs from New York University, and BA in Philosophy from the College of Charleston. She was a UN Foundation press fellow in Uganda in the summer of 2016.
